I just got a new laptop today which has windows 7. I know that -image doesn't work with win 7 so is there any other way to let the computer update GW client other than sitting on the log in screen?
I dont understand the question. I have windows 7 and ive never updated guildwars other then just closing it an reloading. It starts to download on its own. Are you doing it an alternate way then that?
If W7 does not let you do -image then the only way to download all the files is by simply letting them download as you play the game or getting a friend to put the entire .dat onto a flash drive/external drive and pasting it from there into your GW directory.
I have a windows 7 laptop and the -image worked just fine for me.
Download the game client for Guildwars.com
And then change the whatever to -image.
Go find something else to do for about 8 hours.
Change it back.
Play guild wars
windows 7 makes you put the templates in a different folder though, in the "My Documents somewhere, I forget and Im at work. Just open up your templates in game and it will show the directory then you can copy paste your templates int here from your last CPU.
